Homecoming: A Time to Offer Our Time and Talent
When you come to church for Homecoming on September 10th you will find the Parish Hall decked out with the dreams, vision, and passion of the folks. There will be posters, displays, advertisements, and enthusiastic spokespeople for many of the ministries that move us towards our common mission: “Growing Together as the Body of Christ through Worship, Service, Learning, and Fellowship.”
You are invited, encourages actually, to spend some time perusing the possibilities, meeting the people who want to share their vocation with you, to read the ministry write ups in the newly revised Ministry Yellow Pages, and then to use the “Getting Involved” brochure to express your interest in and curiosity about the life and work of Saint Andrews.
All you need to do is check the box next to ministries that that stir something within you, fill out the contact info portion of the brochure, and drop it in the offering plate or the Basket by the name tag boards in the Parish Hall and the leaders of those ministries will get in touch with you!
Saint Andrew’s depends on the participation of our members to maintain its vibrant life and ministry. It is our gifts of time and talent that make all of these ministries possible! We will keep copies of the Ministry Yellow Pages in the Parish Hall and the Brochure will be in the Parish Hall and in the pew boxes for use at any time but here at the beginning of the program year is a great time to get involved, to join a team, to commit your gifts of time and talent as an act of stewardship, and to help us all Grow Together as the Body of Christ!
