Adult Formation
THE SUNDAY FORUM
The Sunday Forum meets, September through May, between our two Sunday services from 9:30am-10:15am for topical discussion related to our faith. On occasion we have presentations from groups within and outside of St. Andrew's including nonprofit organizations, faith leaders and local activist. EXPLORE BENEDICTINE SPIRITUALITY AT ST. ANDREW’S!
New Members Welcome! Wednesday evenings at 7:30 For 5 weeks after Easter a group of parishioners gathered weekly to learn about St. Benedict’s “Rule” and share our desire to “go deeper” in our lives of faith. Our enjoyment of this study and fellowship led to our desire to continue beyond this introduction to create a Benedictine Cell. At each meeting we will explore a portion of Benedict’s Rule, using Joan Chittister’s commentary. If you wish to join us, we only ask that you: 1) Send an email to Henry Peters at [email protected] 2) Purchase a copy of Joan Chittister’s “The Rule of Benedict: A Spirituality for the 21 st Century”. There are also a few copies in the Parish Library to borrow. FORMATION AND FELLOWSHIP GROUPS
20's & 30's Group The 20's & 30's group provides a space for those in that age demographic to connect with one another and build community beyond the walls of St. Andrew's. The group gathers on the third Sunday of each month for bunch following the second service, and will hold additional gatherings such as retreat and hikes as scheduled. Men's Group The Men's Group gathers 1-2 times a month for fellowship, food and often a book read. The group often meets in the evenings or Saturday mornings for brunch. Women's Bible Study The Tuesday Morning Women’s Bible Study is the longest running Adult Formation offering in the History of St. Andrew’s! Led by Ritchie Rheaume and attended by members, friends, and friends of members of St. Andrew’s, this faithful group meets at 9:45 for 90 minutes. Those precious minutes include fellowship, study, and prayer. This fall the group will be studying the Book of Proverbs and will continue to meet via zoom. Contact Ritchie Rheaume at [email protected] for more information and the zoom link! |
