Our Community Partners
Over the years St. Andrew's has sought to open its doors to the surrounding community to provide gathering space, build partnerships and further God's mission in Madison.
St Andrew's partnered with OwnIt to reduce the intergenerational wealth gap between Black and white families in Madison. In 2022, St. Andrew’s raised and contributed $25,000 to OwnIt’s down-payment fund. We offered information sessions to parishioners and the neighboring community about the disparity in home ownership and the racial wealth gap in our area.
Here is a Fact Sheet prepared by the St. Andrew's Intergenerational Wealth Gap Committee in 2022.
Parishioners also wrote letters to realtors, lenders, and other real estate professionals, urging them to support Black and brown families owning their own homes. OwnIt continues to be a potential recipient of funds from our Monthly Ingathering.
