Fall 2021 Parish Listening Sessions
This summer the Vestry has been working to create a process and timeline to help St. Andrew's develop a new mission statement that accurately reflects who we are and who we hope to be in this moment. Now we are looking for your help, insight and participation in this project. In late August and throughout September, we will be holding parish listening sessions where we will gather information and feedback to guide us in the creation of a new parish mission statement. We have selected four dates for the listening session, one of which will be a Zoom gathering.
Please consider joining us for one of these 1-1.5hour listening sessions:
After the Vestry processes the information gathered from the listening sessions, the Mission Subcommittee of the Vestry will update the parish on the findings and their work. Our goal is to be able to present the parish with a new mission statement to be voted on at the November Annual Meeting.
You might be asking, why are we undertaking this project now, particularly as the uncertainty of the pandemic still looms large. In a season where so much could matter, it is important for us to name what does matter both as a guide for this moment and for when we emerge from the pandemic. A mission statement that accurately reflects who St. Andrew’s is and hopes to be, will be a sieve to direct current and future ministry and efforts. With renewed clarity and focus, we too may better grow into who God is calling us to be as the people of St. Andrew’s.
Please plan to join us in this important work!
